ntfy × Omarchy

Your ntfy inbox,
inside the Omarchy bar.

Combine ntfy.sh and self-hosted servers in one quiet, keyboard-first panel. Read, delete, search, run trusted actions, and keep every server's state separate.

  • MIT licensed
  • No Python packages
  • Self-hosted ready

One glance, then back to work

Small surface. Complete workflow.

Omartfy keeps notification handling in a compact panel instead of turning the bar into a dashboard.

01

One merged inbox

Read every configured server chronologically in All, or jump to a server tab without losing connection context.

02

Real ntfy actions

View and copy actions work directly. Publisher-supplied HTTP actions remain off until you explicitly trust that server.

03

Keyboard-native

Navigate with j/k and h/l, mark read with Enter, expand with e, search with /, and run visible actions with 1–3.

04

Quiet when needed

Right-click the bar icon for timed or indefinite DND. Messages continue collecting while badges and urgency stay muted.

05

Native Omarchy toasts

Opt in to desktop toasts with custom duration, per-server switches, DND respect, and click-to-open integration.

06

Restart-safe state

Cursors, deduplication, local read/delete state, and DND survive Omarchy shell restarts without changing ntfy upstream.

07

Same-origin media

Useful icons and previews load lazily and are strictly restricted to the configured server's origin across all redirects.

Profiles that stay understandable

ntfy.sh and private servers, side by side.

Each profile owns its label, base URL, topic list, credentials, trust settings, connection state, and unread count. Reverse-proxy path prefixes are supported.

  • Unauthenticated, Bearer token, and Basic auth
  • Multiple comma-separated topics per profile
  • Explicit opt-in for insecure credential transport
  • Blank secrets preserve the current saved value

Profiles are edited locally; no default public topic is created.

Install

One command. No package manager.

Omarchy clones the plugin into your user configuration and enables its bar widget.

$ omarchy plugin add https://github.com/DailenG/omartfy --enable

Open Settings, add a server, then add one or more topics. Omartfy does not create a default subscription because ntfy topic names can act as public addresses.

Secure defaults

Credentials stay out of URLs and process arguments.

Configuration and state are written atomically with restrictive permissions. TLS verification is never disabled. HTTP actions require per-server opt-in, automatic media is same-origin only, and desktop toasts are opt-in.
